How to find out my CPU type?

On a PC

  • Run the Windows Control Panel
  • Select "System" (found in the category "Security/System" if you have the category view)
  • The CPU Info is under the headline "System" (see image)

  • Click on the Apple Symbol on the very top left of your screen
  • Select "About this Mac"
  • The CPU Type should be right there (see image)
